Briercrest alumnus announces her first novel

Briercrest seminary alumnus Deb Elkink announces the release of her debut novel, The Third Grace, published by Greenbrier Books.

Elkink hopes this contemporary fiction work will attract young women in their 20s and 30s who have wandered from their Christian faith.  The book’s dedication page discloses the author’s intent:

“To all my lost sisters wandering alone out of earshot. His voice still calls.”

Elkink describes her book’s main character, Aglaia, as a young woman who is“drowning in emotions but dying of thirst for God.”

The Third Grace takes the reader on a “dual journey across oceans and time—in the footsteps of (Aglaia) who is torn between her rural upbringing and her search for self.”

The Third Grace is available as an e-book or paperback from Amazon books.  (
