In his second season at the helm of the Briercrest women’s basketball team, head coach Chad Romanuk was able to take several positives away from the 2012-13 season as he works to develop a winning culture on the team. The hard work that was put in this season will help return the program to the past success experienced during the first five seasons in the ACAC (1996-2001).

The team lost some tight, close games throughout the season, and had the most wins among the teams looking in from the outside of the wild-card tournament. They won half of their second semester games and finished with the most wins since the team last made the playoffs during the 2000-01 season.

The season was highlighted by second-year co-captain Claire Richardson’s First-Team ACAC South All-Conference selection.

The majority of the young team will be returning the upcoming season and look to build on the learning and momentum that they established to end the season.
