It was an exciting day in Grande Prairie as the Briercrest Women’s Volleyball team won their quarterfinal match at the conference championships.

Briercrest showed a strong start in the first set by moving the ball around and using all of their attacking options.  The King’s Eagles battled back late in the first set to make it 24-24 but it was Briercrest who came out on top taking the set 27-25.

As the game went on Briercrest showed that they were the team on top.  They were consistently making smart plays and moving the ball around to key players at key times.  When all was said and done the Briercrest team came out on top defeating the Eagles in a sweep.

The final scores for the match were 27-25, 25-22 and 25-22.

Player of the game for the match was Amanda Lundquist with 3 kills, 2 aces and 4 digs.

With this win Briercrest advances to the semi-final against the Red Deer College Queens.  Game time is 6 pm (Alberta time).
