It’s Monday morning and it’s bright and sunny as I look out the kitchen window. I have just finished reading in Jeremiah and praying for the school. I wanted to email all of you and tell you how thankful I am to be joining you as your president. I had a great first week last week. I enjoyed meeting so many of you and sharing in the celebration of graduation. I am planning for one more trip out to the campus at the end of the month and then will be moving during the third week of June. We have sold our home; purchased a home and have begun the nightmare of packing.

Yesterday Linda and I drove to Sarnia and shared in a great day with Awaken. They were leading worship at Temple Baptist Church and they did a fantastic job. Dom Ruso gave a great message on Jonah. It was a little strange not speaking myself, but I am looking forward to teaching regularly in chapel beginning this fall.

I am brimming with ideas – but for now, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all of you. Briercrest is an incredible academic institution with a rich history – but it is also a ministry for which all of you – staff, faculty, students, board all serve tirelessly. Thank you!

Have a great Monday.

Partnering together,

Michael
