Rob Chartrand has been the senior associate pastor at Beulah Alliance Church in Edmonton, Alta. for the past four years. His role involves strategic planning, staff development, and human resource management.
When Rob started his position Beulah Alliance, he knew that ongoing leadership training would be important for his new role. He chose Briercrest because of its unique leadership and management program, and he’s been thrilled about how he’s been able to apply every course assignment directly to his ministry.
He’s especially thankful for Dr. Paul Magnus’ involvement in his education. As Rob studied, he says, Dr. Magnus would take a genuine personal interest in him and the challenges he faced every day in his ministry.
“It makes you feel like you’re not just a name on a paper ... but a person,” Rob says.
This summer, Chartrand will partner with Beulah Alliance and other churches to launch a new church community in northeast Edmonton. As the new lead pastor, Rob is thrilled about the grassroots, entrepreneurial nature of this exciting start-up.
“My studies at Briercrest have helped to prepare me for this leadership-intensive season of ministry,” he says.
