Dear parents, guardians, students and friends of CHS:

As I shared in our October newsletter, we are excited to be having a special ministry group called "AXIS" visiting our CHS campus on April 7, 8 and 9.  Here are the highlights:

 AXIS IS COMING!

  • Ø During our Professional Development Days on October 8 and 9, our CHS instructional team travelled to Saskatoon for an ACSI Conference featuring AXIS.
    • AXIS is a team of millennials (young adults in their early 20s) who work together to engage students, parents and educators in a highly God-focussed, highly-interactive and highly media-savvy series of presentations and workshops.
    • Their mission is to "…empower the next generation to think clearly and critically about what they believe and to take ownership of their faith" (https://axis.org/mission).  Please check out their site!
    • Ø We, as educators, were so blessed by their ministry-and so excited at the blessings we believed they would bring to our students-that we booked them for a three-day intensive event this April 7, 8 and 9, 2016!
      • Events on April 7 and 8 will be an in-school event with our student body with one evening session designed for parents.  On April 9, we will be partnering with our local churches to bring parents, students and teacherstogetherin one intergenerational and conversation-geared event focussed on cultivating lifelong faith for our kids.

In the schedules below, I have inserted links to descriptions of each key topic.
