Parents

Dear Parents,

Another school year is in full swing, and we are delighted with the students you have entrusted to us. In the first week of Freshman Orientation, I was reminded again of what a great privilege it is to be invited to play a role in shaping this next generation of leaders. The enthusiasm with which they approached everything—from singing to group service projects and library orientation—spoke clearly about their character and their eagerness to learn. Our anticipation of a good year continued to grow as the upperclassmen, with all of their gifts and experience, returned to join us. So on behalf of our faculty and support staff, let me take this opportunity to thank you for the role that you as parents have played in preparing them for this next step in their journey.

We hope that your sons and daughters will enjoy a transformative experience this year. Our desire is that as they engage in rigorous learning with us, they will be challenged to seek the kingdom of God, be shaped profoundly by his word, and be nourished both spiritually and intellectually as they prepare for lives of service.

We also want to affirm that your role in this phase of your child’s life is still very important. We invite you to join us in their preparation by continuing to pray for them, by encouraging them in their studies and in their newfound independence, and by dialoguing with them as they encounter new and sometimes conflicting ideas.

These are rich years for your student, and we want to partner with you in making them as helpful and meaningful as we can. May God continue to be gracious and merciful to all of us as we seek to build his Kingdom.

Blessings,

Cal Macfarlane
