Biography

Charles was born in Moose Jaw, Sask., while his parents were attending Briercrest College and Seminary, but he was raised in Cameroon, Africa, where his parents worked as missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators. He later returned to Canada as a teen and graduated from Caronport High School in the mid-80s. The next years were spent largely in Alberta, where he studied chemistry at the University of Calgary and then worked as a computer programmer for most of the 90s. Having felt the pull to Christian ministry and theological studies for some time, Charles switched careers yet again and enroled in seminary.

Charles enjoys combining his skills and interest in digital technology with theological education to serve the kingdom of God. As his website testifies, Charles is also passionate about biblical Hebrew and the Old Testament.

Charles is married to Michelle and they have two children, Daniel and Esther.
