Biography

Dustin and his wife, Jolene, were born and raised in southern Saskatchewan. They have two school-aged children: Nathanael and Charis.

Dustin has served as Assistant Registrar, the Director of Distance Learning and now as Interim Dean of Briercrest Seminary.

In 2006, Dustin and his family moved to Hamilton, Ont., where he studied at McMaster University's Department of Religious Studies. His research and teaching interests grew out of his desire to interpret Scripture in a way that is spiritually profitable for the church in modernity.

The Resch family attends St. Aidan Anglican Church in Moose Jaw. His main interest outside of theology and his family is ethnic food, especially Indian and Middle Eastern. Sadly, however, his cooking skills are not as well-honed as his appetite.

Research Interests

My research has focused on the theological interpretation of Scripture and the history of the Church's reflection on the person of Christ, culminating in my work on Karl Barth's interpretation of the virgin birth. My teaching and research interests have more recently extended to theologies of spiritual formation and of the church.
