Hello and welcome to the Seminary application page. Below you'll find everything you need for completion of the Briercrest Seminary application!
Application deadlines
Briercrest Seminary has no application deadlines. Applications are processed and reviewed on a case by case basis, but we recommend that students apply before the month of May for the fall semester and before the month of October for the winter semester.

Regular Student Application
1. Fill out the Briercrest Seminary Form A. This will start the application process.
2. Request that your Official Transcript be sent to the address below from the post-secondary institution you graduated from. Also, if you have any classes from another graduate school or Seminary please have the transcripts sent to us so that they can be analyzed for transfer credit.
3. Contact a Pastor, Priest, Deacon, Elder, Christian Mentor, etc. to complete the Pastoral Reference.
4. Contact a former post-secondary proffessor or colleague to complete the Academic Reference.
5. Complete the Outcomes Assessment Essay.
All paper copies and official transcripts can be mailed to:

The references and Outcomes essay can be mailed, emailed or faxed to the admissions office (see contact information at the bottom of the page). the transcripts must be mailed directly from the sending institution to be official.
Individual Course Registration
All applicants can take up to two courses prior to being accepted into Briercrest Seminary. If you are just planning to take one or two courses or would like to audit a course, you can enrol by calling Academic Services at 1-800-645-2275. The Seminary course schedule can be found here.
Marriage and Family Counselling Student Application
The application to the Briercrest Seminary Master of Arts/Master of Divinity in Marriage and Family Counselling is a two part process. The first part is the application to the Seminary itself and the second part consititutes an application to the specific program.
Part 1
1. Fill out the Briercrest Seminary Form A. This will start the application process.
2. Request that your Official Transcript be sent to the address below from the post-secondary institution you graduated from. Also, if you have any classes from another graduate school or Seminary please have the transcripts sent to us so that they can be analyzed for transfer credit.
3. Contact a Pastor, Priest, Deacon, Elder, Christian Mentor, etc. to complete the Pastoral Reference.
4. Contact a former post-secondary proffessor or colleague to complete the Academic Reference.
5. Complete the Outcomes Assessment Essay.

Part 2
When you have completed Part 1, contact your admissions adviser and inform them that you are now ready for part 2 of the application process. They will forward you the necessary documentation at the right time so that you can proceeed with the application.
Below is a summary of what the rest of the application process is:

Complete the Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis.

Complete and submit the autobiographical essay.

Take part in an interview with the program coordinator for the Couselling program.
All of these steps will be explained in full in the document your admissions adviser will forward you at the appropriate time. International (non-american) Student Application
International students are an important part of our student body at Briercrest Seminary. Our admissions process for international students is designed to be as efficient as possible. If you have any questions about our Seminary before you apply please call 1-800-667-5199 to make the appropriate inquiries or request more information right here on our website, just go here to do so.
1. Fill out the Briercrest Seminary Form A. This will start the application process.
2. Request that your Official Transcript be sent to the address below from the post-secondary institution you graduated from. Also, if you have any classes from another graduate school or Seminary please have the transcripts sent to us so that they can be analyzed for transfer credit.
If transcripts are not in English the must be translated and notarized by an official notary.
3. Contact a Pastor, Priest, Deacon, Elder, Christian Mentor, etc. to complete the Pastoral Reference.
4. Contact a former post-secondary proffessor or colleague to complete the Academic Reference.
5. Complete the Outcomes Assessment Essay.
6. Deposit the full amount of tuition+living expenses into your Briercrest Seminary student account (which we will create for you). In addition you must deposit a $2500 (per person) return airfare deposit into your account. You must do this before your acceptance letter and relevant student visa information will be granted.

Do you just want to take one or two classes?
Anyone who would like to take a Seminary course for personal interest or even as part of the inquiry process may do so. You may take up to two courses prior to applying to the Seminary. If you would like to take advantage of this or would like to audit a course, you can do so in three easy steps.
