Pray

"Thus says the Lord: 'Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit'" (Jeremiah 17:5-8, NIV).

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God" (Psalm 20:7, NIV).

We trust in the Lord and that is why we pray. Prayer is a part of our Strategic Plan's core initiatives. We placed it there because it matters and because we decided to declare what we so often assume. And so, we remind ourselves to pray. I want to invite you to pray for our three grand aspirations as a Christian institution: Increase influence, increased enrolment, and increase financial strength. Pray also for our students at this time, especially those who are seeking the Lord for the next step in their journey.
I have also included our April and May In Prayer Calendar.

Partnering together in prayer – because we trust in the Lord,

Michael
