Dr. Peter Chung and Dr. Stephanie Chung establish $75,000 Joseph Chung Endowment

Vancouver, BC – October 17, 2012 – The Eminata Group, Chairman Dr. Peter Chung and his wife, Dr. Stephanie Chung, have established the Joseph Chung Endowment in memory of their son.

A donation of $75,000 has been presented to Briercrest College and Seminary in Saskatchewan and will be used to award exceptional students on a yearly basis.

The newly established endowment was developed to recognize Joseph Chung’s remarkable life of perseverance and contribution through the gifts of his physical and mental challenges. It will award scholarships to students who are committed to pursuing post-secondary studies in the field of special education or missionary service.

Joseph was our eldest child and as parents, we had dedicated Joseph's life to God at conception. Our plan was for Joseph to become a missionary and do His work to enlarge His Kingdom. Even though he touched this world in his own unique way, Joseph could not pursue post-secondary education due to the obstacles placed in his path,” said Dr. Chung.

Dr. Chung and The Eminata Group have long been committed to changing lives through education. Over the past 20 years, thousands of graduates have received post-secondary credentials through the many Eminata Group educational brands, making a difference in their lives and those of their families.

“I have always believed in supporting our community, and this endowment will enable others to make a greater contribution to their communities, as well,” Dr. Chung said.
