Last home stand of fall semester for basketball

Briercrest basketball hosts NAIT and Grant MacEwan this weekend, hockey hosts Augustana and volleyball travels to NAIT.
Basketball
Briercrest College basketball will host the NAIT Ooks and Grant MacEwan University Griffins in their final home stand of the fall semester Nov 16-17. The Briercrest men will look to improve on their 5-1 record against NAIT (2-2) and MacEwan (3-2) teams that want to use their extra games remaining to move up the ACAC standings. The Briercrest women will be once again be competing against two of the top teams in the ACAC in NAIT (4-0) and MacEwan (4-1), and will try to use the home court to their advantage this weekend.
The women play 6:00 pm each night, followed by the men at 8:00 pm. All games will be played at the Margaret P Reimer Memorial Gymnasium.
Hockey
Brirecrest hockey will be hosting the University of Alberta, Augustana Vikings in their second last home stand of the fall semester. Augustana currently sits in fourth place in the ACAC with a 6-2-2 record so they will put up some stiff competition. This game marks the return of former Briercrest captain Craig Cornelson, so should be an exciting weekend.
Game times are 7:30 pm on Friday, Nov. 16 and 2:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 17. Both games will be played at the Barkman Arena.
Volleyball
Briercrest volleyball embarks on their last road trip of the fall semester as they travel to Edmonton to play NAIT. Briercrest men (5-1) will be looking to continue their momentum against a NAIT team (1-5) who will be hungry to get back into the win column. The Briercrest women (2-4) will be looking to make some noise against the tough ACAC leading NAIT (6-0) this weekend.
The women will lead off competition both days, Friday, Nov. 16 at 6:00 pm followed by the men at 8:00 pm, and Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1:00 pm followed by the men at 3:00 pm.
