Briercrest women’s volleyball falls to RDC, playing for bronze on Sunday

Briercrest College and Seminary women’s volleyball lost to Red Deer College 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-21) in Saturday afternoon’s semi-final and will play in the bronze medal game at the ACAC Championships.

The ACAC Championships are being hosted at Grande Prairie Regional College this weekend and Briercrest will be facing the loser of Grande Prairie and Grant MacEwan in the bronze medal game at 1:00 pm MST on Sunday, Feb. 23.

Elly Wendel had a game high 11 kills in the loss, Erin Anderson had a game high three service aces and four blocks, and Brooke Peterson had a team high 11 digs.

Red Deer won every statistical category (32-24 kills, 43-33 digs, 19-10 blocks) except for service aces where Briercrest held the 7-3 edge.
