Briercrest women’s volleyball loses exciting bronze medal game

Briercrest College and Seminary women’s volleyball lost to Grant MacEwan University 3-2 (25-14, 28-30, 25-18, 24-26, 15-13) in Sunday afternoon’s bronze medal game at the ACAC Championships.

The ACAC Championships are being hosted at Grande Prairie Regional College this weekend and Briercrest took on second ranked Grant MacEwan in the back and forth momentum swinging bronze medal game.

Elly Wendel had a team high 13 kills in the loss, Amanda Lundquist had a game 42 assists and four service aces,  Erin Anderson had a game high six blocks, and Brooke Peterson had a game high 19 digs.

Statistics were quite even between the teams with Briercrest holding the edge in service aces (12-11), and Grant MacEwan holding the edge in kills (58-51), digs (65-56) and both teams with 13 blocks.
