Langley, BC’s Ali Johnson will be joining the Briercrest women’s volleyball team this fall.

Briercrest women’s volleyball coach Nolan Weinmaster is excited at the potential that the 5’ 7” libero will be bringing to the team this coming year.

“Ali has great all-around skill and is a very versatile player,” Weinmaster said. “Having successfully contributed to great teams at a variety of positions, I am excited about how she will bring that winning attitude to our team. She will give us great depth in key moments with her serve receive passing and defensive skills. She is very coachable and I am really looking forward to working with her! Ali comes from a great family and has the type of character we are looking for in our program.”

Johnson will be graduating from Heritage Christian while playing volleyball at Langley Fundamental school.

“I started playing volleyball when I was in Grade 5 at Pacific Academy,” Johnson said. “I have played either libero or leftside. I was an all-star at regionals the past two years.”

Johnson is planning to study in the education program.
