Julian Apakoh brings winning experience from two different continents to Briercrest this coming season.

Originally from the Chingford district of London, United Kingdom, Apakoh attended Heathcote School where he helped lead the team to three Borough championships as well as a London School of Basketball league silver medal.

The 6’ 4” forward then moved with his family to Regina, SK where he helped lead Harvest City Christian Academy to a 3A Provincial championship in Grade 12.

Briercrest head coach Rod Adrian is excited to see the impact that Apakoh will have this coming year, both on and off the basketball court.

“After a very successful high school career, Julian joins the Briercrest squad with a winning attitude to go along with his winning smile,” Adrian said. “He’s a hard worker and a dynamite athlete who is ready to go and will be exciting to watch this season.  I love the way he competes hard, is a loyal teammate, and isn’t afraid to be passionate about winning.  I look forward to working with Julian, as I’m a big fan of his.

Apakoh is looking forward to attending Briercrest this fall.

“I’m looking forward to being able to play at the next level in a great environment and having a good season, as well as experiencing college life,” Apakoh explained.
