Another busy week of Athletics at Briercrest begins with the last home games of the inaugural 2014 WCSA season for the softball team, while hockey hosts two weekend games against Minot Stat and the volleyball teams once again hit the road for exhibition games, the men to Augustana and the women to North Dakota.

Softball

Briercrest softball hosts their final two home games of the 2014 WCSA season Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Optimist Park in Moose Jaw at 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

After a cold double-header last week, this Wednesday looks like a beautiful autumn evening to watch a double-header of softball as they once again face the University of Regina tomorrow night, Sept. 17.

Game will again be played at the Optimist Park, which is on the 500 block of Lillooet St. W in Moose Jaw.

Game times will be at 5:30 and 7:30 pm.

The team then travels to Saskatoon for three games. The first game is against the University of Calgary at 12:30 pm, followed by 3:00 pm against SAIT. Both games will be played at the Gordie Howe field. The ladies then end the weekend with a 5:30 pm matchup with the University of Calgary at 5:30 pm.

Hockey

After a strong showing against the University of Regina last week, Briercrest men's hockey looks to continue their strong play at home in their annual hosting of Minot State University this weekend.

The team will host Minot State for a pair of games, Friday, Sept. 19 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, Sept. 20 at 2:00 pm.

For those who can't attend the game, both will be broadcast on acac.tv.

Volleyball

The Briercrest men's and women's volleyball teams continue their 2014-15 exhibition schedule this weekend.

Women's volleyball travels to North Dakota for four games  in three days. They kick off the weekend at Williston State College Friday, Sept. 19 for a 7:00 pm game before playing Lake Region State College at 10:00 and Williston State again at 3:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 20. They conclude their weekend against Dickinson State University at 1:30 pm on Sunday, Sept. 21.

The men's volleyball team travels north again to play two games against Augustana on Friday, Sept. 19 and Saturday, Sept. 20.
