Basketball finally hosts ACAC games on campus this weekend, as they host SAIT for their Home Opener Alumni Homecoming weekend.

Hockey and volleyball travel to Portage and Ambrose for games.

Basketball

The Briercrest basketball teams host SAIT this weekend for their Home Opener Alumni Weekend.

The games should be very competitive as the SAIT teams are close to Briercrest in the ACAC south ranking. The SAIT women currently have a 2-2 record with their wins coming over winless Red Deer, while the SAIT men are looking for their first win of the young season.

Game times will be Friday, Oct. 31 at 6:00 pm for the women and 8:00 pm for the men, followed by Saturday Nov. 1 at 1:00 pm for the women and 3:00 pm for the men.

Hockey

The Briercrest men's hockey team departs on one of their longest road trips of the year as they travel to Portage this weekend. After beginning the year against the top teams in the ACAC, Briercrest is looking to get that elusive first win of the season this weekend. This is an important weekend for both Briercrest and Portage as they currently sit tied for last place in the ACAC with one point each. This is a great opportunity to make up ground in the playoff race as the halfway point of the season approaches.

Game times will be 7:00 pm Friday, Oct. 31 followed by a 3:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 1 matinee. Both games will be at the Bold Centre in Lac La Biche, AB.

Volleyball

The Briercrest volleyball teams hit the road for their first ACAC regular season road trip of the season, as they travel to Calgary to play Ambrose University this weekend.

This is Ambrose's first year in the ACAC and they have already proven to be a formidable opponent after playing hard against Medicine Hat last weekend, the women getting their first win to split the weekend. This is sure to be the beginning of a friendly rivalry between the two ACAC South division Christian colleges.

Game times will be Friday, Oct. 31 at 6:00 pm for the women and 8:00 pm for the men, followed by Saturday Nov. 1 at 1:00 pm for the women and 3:00 pm for the men.
