Briercrest Basketball hosts Olds, hockey hosts SAIT and volleyball is on a bye weekend. For timely information on all Briercrest teams this year "like" Briercrest Athletics on Facebook.

Basketball

The Briercrest basketball teams play their first home games of 2015 this weekend, as they host Olds College.

Both Briercrest teams will be facing Olds teams that are right in the mix of the playoff hunt. The Olds men's team (9-7) is currently sitting in fourth in the ACAC South division while the women (11-5) are sitting in third in the division.

Game times will be Friday, Jan. 23 with the women at 6:00 and men following at 8:00 pm and the Saturday, Jan. 24 with women tipping off at 1:00 pm and men at 3:00 pm.

Hockey

The ACAC seventh-place men's hockey team (4-17-1) continues to make their push to try to move into the playoff picture after an exciting split with sixth place Red Deer College (9-10-1) this past weekend. Red Deer holds down the final playoff position in the ACAC.

The playoff push doesn't get any easier for the team as they host first place SAIT (18-3-1) this weekend.

Game times at the Barkman Arena are 7:00 pm Friday, Jan. 23 and 2:00 pm Saturday, Jan. 24.

Volleyball

After splitting against Lethbridge College this past weekend, the Briercrest volleyball teams will have their last bye weekend of the 2014-15 season before making their final push towards the playoffs.
