The Briercrest men’s volleyball team played against the Olds College Broncos this evening and finished the game with a win by the home team with a three game streak! The total scores being 25-12, 25-15 and 25-19. The Broncos did an excellent job and remaining positive and the Clippers did a great job at playing consistent and diving more than anyone could have thought possible. Great game!

The first set started off with no team taking the lead over the other by too much, and many volleyballs hitting the ceiling. Jachin Karg of Briercrest started off strong with several dominating spin serves and kills by Zac Ens and Jonah Johnson. Briercrest took the first set with relative ease with an ending score of 25-12.

The Broncos came into the second set with very positive attitudes. Briercrest followed their successful game with different hits by Josh Wendel and assists by Carter Reimer. Briercrest went on a run with Joel Rosewarn holding the serve. Briercrest played a strong defensive game that made it difficult for Olds to win more than a couple of points at a time. Briercrest took the set with a final score of 25-15.

The third and final set began with Briercrest having the first serve but losing the point. Briercrest continued to play strong and make huge saves to keep their points up. They started to get away from their tied, ping-pong like game after the time out called by Olds. Rosewarn finished up one of the last few points making an unintentional save with his head. Briercrest won the final set with a score of 25-19.

The player of the game for the Olds College Broncos was Dylan White and for Briercrest was Jachin Karg who had a team high 8 kills, with four service aces and four digs.
