The 2015-16 Briercrest Athletics season kicked off two weeks ago with all teams arriving for pre-season training camp. The Briercrest softball team utilized two weeks of training and travel to Calgary for their first taste of 2015 Western Collegiate Softball Association (WCSA) competition in Calgary Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5.

Softball

The Briercrest women's softball team travels to Calgary this weekend for five games to kick off their sophomore season in the Western Collegiate Softball Association (WCSA). Briercrest head coach Carlie Pagens has worked hard all summer to assemble a competitive team for the strong league and is excited to finally see how they stack up against the other teams in the league this season.

Briercrest will kick off the WCSA season with a double header against the University of Calgary Friday, September 4 at 6:30 pm, with the second game being played against SAIT Polytechnic at 8:30 pm. These games will be played at Shouldice in Calgary. Briercrest then continues their first weekend of competition against the University of Saskatchewan Saturday, August 30 at 11:45 am, followed by the University of Alberta at 2:00 pm and University of Calgary at 4:00 pm. Saturday games will be played at Industrial A in Calgary.
