Performing & Worship Arts Administrative Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

The Performing & Worship Arts Administrative Assistant assists the Department Chair with all aspects of department administration, including revenue and expense management; event marketing, advertising and sales; and all processes of private lesson/dance registration, billing and payment.

Note: This is a 25 hour/week 10-month term position (Aug 2023-Jun 2024)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Agreement to live within the Briercrest Institutional Covenant and align with the mission, vision, and values of Briercrest College and Seminary
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant post-secondary education, related experience.
  • Strong communicator via email, telephone, and in person.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Windows environment)
  • Must work well in a team and individually

DESIRED OUTCOMES & ACTIVITIES

  • All department event management
  • Graphic design (posters, save-the-dates, tickets, programs)
  • Advertising (print and online)
  • Ticket sales for musicals
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Adjunct music teacher contract preparation and administration
  • Performance licensing
  • Departmental purchases.
  • Other duties as assigned, which may include temporary reassignment in other departments for events or times of higher need

TEAM RELATIONSHIPS

  • This position reports to the Performing & Worship Arts Department Chair
