Co-vocational Canada Marketing Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY 

Co-Vocational Canada is a grant funded project that sits within Briercrest Seminary. We are looking for someone with initiative, creativity and strong organizational skills who would work well with a variety of denominations, as well as churches and pastors that are co-vocational or exploring the potential of co-vocational ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Agreement to live within the Briercrest Institutional Covenant Agreement and alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Briercrest Christian Academy, College, and Seminary
• A passionate supporter of Briercrest 
• Prior experience as a social media manager for a corporate or non-profit brand
• Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Communications, or related discipline
• Excellent copywriting, and editing skills with a strong attention to detail
• The ability to work both collaboratively and independently, taking initiative and demonstrating a willingness to take risks 
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment of change with a high-volume workload, often requiring short turnaround times
• Ability and interest in marketing data analytics
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to juggle multiple priorities 
• Have taken courses in graphic design or equivalent
• Experience and proficiency with web design, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms\

RESPONSIBLITIES 

1. Campaign Development and Management: 
    o Develop campaigns that will increase traffic, engagement and action taken by target audiences to accomplish     Co-Vocational Canada (CoVo) goals
    o Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content to achieve those goals (e.g. original text, photos, videos,     ads and news)
    o Collaborate with the marketing team creative personnel and CoVo team to complete campaigns from concept     to final rollout
    o Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
2. Audience Understanding: 
    o Become an expert in our Co-vocational Canada audience learning who they are, what they need, and how they     prefer to receive information
    o Learn from CoVO team members
    o Learn from external research trends, values, behaviors and preferences. 
3. Social Media Management: 
    o Manage CoVo Social Media account.
    o Schedule and manage a social media calendar, remaining flexible for posting opportunities with priority going     to posts that help achieve established CoVo goals.
    o Help to curate a social media brand aesthetic that is visually appealing and brand consistent
    o Listen to, respond to, and engage with our audience
4. Website: 
    o Routinely audit and update CoVo website copy 
    o Add new initiatives in timely manner.
    o Ensure brand values and voice are displayed through CoVo web pages.
5. Reporting
    o Generate monthly report for assigned CoVo leaders..
    o Analyze performance metrics based on established key performance indicators. 

DESIRED OUTCOMES AND ACTIVITIES

This person must be a self-starting individual who is able to able to demonstrate initiative in crafting and executing a thoughtful marketing and communications plan for the Co-Vocational Canada project that includes:

    • Actively supporting and promoting the vision and mission of Co-vocational Canada (and Briercrest Seminary)
    • Establishing and driving a creative communications strategy that actively tells our story and promotes our     initiatives
    • Writing and editing content for print materials, website and social media posts
    • Overseeing the creation of video, audio, and digital content
    • Preparing and managing all communications materials, including graphic design
    • Actively engaging with students, denominations, churches, and pastors through LinkedIn, social media, and     other platforms
    • Publishing helpful content through finding and telling stories of those in our Co-vocational Canada network 
    • Tracking engagement across platforms and making recommendations based on the data.
    • Maintaining brand integrity across all initiatives.
    • Possible involvement at conferences and other recruitment and marketing events

TEAM RELATIONSHIPS 

• Reports to the Co-Vocational Canada Project Lead.
• Works with the Marketing department, serving Co-Vocational Canada.
