Hockey Ministries International is a Christian ministry for hockey players. We offer chapel programs to 23 leagues, discipleship programs geared to individual players, summer camps, and special outreach initiatives like the NHL All-Star Breakfast.

There are three full-time HMI missionaries with Briercrest roots: Jamie Ramer, Tim Wiebe, and me. Twenty Briercrest alumni presently serve as chaplains around the world, and many serve as counsellors at our summer camps. Former Clipper player Matt Bothwell and his wife, Jessica, are serving in Ronnang, Sweden.

The Clippers have used their HMI missions experience to impact the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, the Moose Jaw Hockey League, and the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference. All 12 teams in the SJHL have chapel programs, and their influence has spread to other leagues in Western Canada, Quebec, and Ontario. By God's grace, HMI is finding many open doors to penetrate the hockey world for Christ.
